Article 47 Basho Haikus

a primeval pond
leaping frog disappears into
a single solitary plop!

irreverent pirate
plundering foreign fields for wisdom
forever blowing bubbles

The constantly humming refrigerator

Knows no future

Birdsong is heart breaking

That white noise in the ears….

Empty-handed I entered the world
Barefoot I leave it.
My coming, my going-
Two simple happenings
That got entangled.

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour

one stepping stone after another
water flowing in between
both still, both moving
